About Us
Do Any Of These Situations Sound Familiar? “Tomorrow I work with my instructor all morning and I know she is going to be disappointed. I just can’t seem to get it! She asks me to do things that I know I can do, but we’re just not communicating. It’s probably me. I’m just not sure where we are going or if we have a plan…” “Tomorrow is Darlene’s training session. I’m just not sure she gets it! I’ve run out of ideas. I may have to tell her that I don’t have room for her this year. We are competing at upper levels and I’m afraid she has reached her potential. She has a great horse, but something just isn’t clicking!” “I have only two months to get ready for my next Dressage test. My instructor says this is going to be a big year for me, but I don’t see it. I’m still struggling putting all the pieces of the test together and the movements just don’t seem to flow.” “Sam is doing well when we work on individual movements, but he just doesn’t seem to be able to put a test together. That was fine at the lower levels, but this year I can’t call the tests to him and I’m not sure he is going to do very well. I don’t want to lose him to another instructor because he and I have worked together for 3 years, and he and his horse do have talent.” “Work with my 2-year-old is like fits and starts. We can’t seem to connect. Sometimes we finish a training session and I am so high! Most of the time, though, we seem to be going backwards. My instructor doesn’t think this horse has it to compete this year at World, I know we can do it! I don’t want to give up, but I don’t know…” “What a horse! And Sarah has gone to World the last three years. I know these two can get there, but I have never seen Sarah work with a horse like this before. I’d hate to see her disappointed.” “I don’t have a instructor, have taken a few lessons and don’t want to compete. I just want to have a plan that I can work on with my horse. My neighbors and I get together a few times every month to ride together and share techniques and help each other get better. I think we could focus more and really help each other, but I don’t know where to start."
