Teaching TFT1 – "Your Personal Coaching Style" Includes work in the 4 classes to help instructors discover what they bring to their students. You will identify your personal coaching style(s), your own coachability, communication style(s) and unique strengths. TFT2 – "Ready, Set, Teach!" During the 4 classes, Equi-Coach helps instructors explore hints and tips on how to provide customer service, discover breakthrough teaching that helps you build connections and trust, and fine tune your instructional approach (Who’s Really in Charge of the Learning?) TFT3 – "Build a Plan for Your Students That Makes Sense (and gets them where THEY want to be!)" During the 4 classes, learn how to build a big-picture training and teaching plan for your students, design the format for your lessons with an eye on reuse and consistency, teach to themes to build good horsemanship, and help your students help you create challenging and fun individual learning plans to keep your students learning and coming back year after year. TFT4 – "Avoiding the (Potential) Chaos of Teaching" During the 4 classes, Equi-Coach guides instructors to learn how to manage the dimensions of lessons – how to balance the needs of the horse, the rider and you; determine if one-on-one or group lessons are right for you, build safety into every lesson, know when to pay attention to signals from the rider and the horse, remain flexible to find the teachable/learnable moments and what to do when you think you need eyes in the back of your head to get through the hour!

of Coaching TFC1 – "Building Rider Motivation and Trust" Includes work in the 4 classes to help instructors discover how to energize and focus riders, teach with honesty, spirit, and build trust. TFC2 – "Ask More and Listen More" During the 4 classes, Equi-Coach helps instructors explore hints and tips on how to quickly get to know your students, how to say what you mean so you get the result you want, and learn the benefit of the Positive Coaching Model to put structure, focus and results into every lesson. TFC3 – "Get Emotionally Intelligent and Remain Calm Under Pressue" In the 4 classes, learn how to not “lose it and lose students,” invest in patience. It is easy to teach calmly when all is going well and the student is getting the results you want! This course will help you get to know yourself, how you coach, communicate under pressure, and how to remain flexible and calm when things aren’t going as planned. TFC4 – "Building Rider Confidence" During the 4 classes, Equi-Coach guides instructors to learn how to manage and build rider confidence. You will learn what to do when your students have confidence problems – either too much or not enough!

TFI1 – "Working with Horse and Rider Combinations to Get Resul" Includes work in the 4 classes to help instructors to match horse & rider combinations to their potential, help their students overcome barriers to effective riding, look at the benefits and drawbacks of the “lesson horse” and the “master school horse," discover if taking on two – teaching the owner to train their horse is right for you. TFI2 – "Constructing Safer Lessons" As instructors, you’ve learned many hints and tips to maintain a safe lesson program. During the 4 classes, Equi-Coach helps instructors “go beyond the safety basics” to explore new hints and tips on how to build on what is already working to improve safety in your lesson programs for groups and one-on-ones. TFI3 – "Building an Equestrian Team with Vision" During the 4 classes, you will learn how to build a training and teaching plan for your equestrian team. And learn teambuilding activities to keep your team spirit! TFI4 – "Know When to Let Go and Help Them Move On" How many times have you tried to keep a student when you knew that they really needed to move on to reach their potential? How many times have you asked a student to repeat a riding technique over and over again with no result? During these 4 classes, Equi-Coach guides instructors through the sensitive topic of gracefully letting go. Selected instructor Topics

What is different about working with teens, adults, or older adults? T2 - "Recognize and Build on Your Strengths" Identify the strengths you have as a instructor. What makes you effective? What is getting in your way of becoming a better instructor? What will make you more effective? T3 - "Motivation and Preparation to Teach" How do you show up for your lessons? What do you do to prepare? What do you really need to know to be a instructor? This class will jump-start your planning to provide more effective training for your customers. T4 - "Coaching – From Telling to Asking" What is your coaching style? How much planning do you do with your students? Are your students comfortable asking you questions? How many questions do you ask your students? This class will help you learn how to involve your students to make them better learners. (Offered in July and January) T5 - "Positive Feedback – Can You Take it, or Do You Just Dish it Out" This class will help you begin to look at improving your communication skills. Learn the list of words that make you more effective in giving feedback to your students. T6 - "Put Power Into Your Language" Do you find yourself saying the same things to your students over and over again? Learn new ways to say what you mean – shorter and more effective directions to get better results. T7 - "instructors are Leaders!" This class looks at the impact you have on your students beyond teaching them how to ride. Learn about leadership and how you can be a role model for your students. T8 - "Recognize and Build on Your Students’ Strengths" Discover what you focus on when teaching your students. Do you know their strengths or only their weaknesses? Learn how to shift your focus from teaching to students’ weaknesses to building on their strengths.
Foundations of Business
Planning TFP1 – "Creating a Business Plan" Includes work in the 4 classes to help you to beyond horses as a hobby to identify the vision, mission, goals, financial organization and insurance needs for your equestrian business. TFP2 – "Find Balance in Your Work and Life" Focuses on how to “have a life” during the 4 classes. We got into this business because we live and breathe horses. Horses are your work and your life! When and how do you balance your love for this work with having a life? The horse business is a marathon – not a sprint, learn to pace yourself so you can continue to make horses your work and your life. TFP3 – "What Makes you Special?" Also focuses on building your business and your brand during the 4 classes. Learn how to build a big-picture brand plan for your business. Identify what makes you stand out from the crowd and keeps customers coming in your barn. TFP4 – "Get Organized and Save Time" These 4 classes look at simple ways and software to help you get and stay organized. Learn hints and tips to save time and keep your business activities efficient so you can spend your time where you want to – in the barn! Foundations of Customer
Service TFS1 – "Who are your Customers?" Includes work in the 4 classes to help you focus your business direction. You will learn how to match your services to your what your customers want and can afford to pay. TFS2 – :Position your Business to WOW Your Customers" During the 4 classes you will build a 2-page marketing plan ready to try! You will learn that marketing doesn’t have to be expensive to be effective. TFS3 – "Customers are Calling, so Now What?" During the 4 classes, you will learn what to say when customers call and how to build your sales – yes, you do have to sell to get customers! What do you say to get that customer to try your services and stay? TFS4 – "Know When to Let Go and Help Them Move On" During the 4 classes, you will learn how letting go and helping your customers move on might help your business grow! How many times have you tried to keep a customer when you knew that they really needed to move on?
